Born out of the Ageing Better Middlesbrough Befriending Service provided during the covid pandemic, the Wellbeing Team aims to:
- support people to overcome the main difficulties in their lives which are contributing to their loneliness and isolation
- support people to improve their physical health and wellbeing
- support people to move towards a point where they feel able to re-connect with people and/or
activities in their local community - improve people’s feelings of companionship and social inclusion
